It was getting late, and the sun began to dip lower in the sky. The lobby windows filled with a softer, paler light. Only an hour remained until closing time. The in house cats knew what this meant: soon they would be forced to go up for the night. Mac and Harley began stalking around, trying to avoid any person wearing scrubs. Flash and Otis tried to hide under the tables in the lobby. However, a familiar face appeared in the doorway. It was the Veterinary Nurse Assistant. She closed in on Flash and Otis.
The Veterinary Nurse Assistant scooped Otis up into her arms, then carried him out of the lobby.
"Good night everyone! Maybe the sushi chef will show up tomorrow!" called an optimistic Otis. The three other male in house cats rolled their eyes at this comment, but kept quiet as they tried to hide from bedtime. Next on the agenda was Flash.
"Like, I'm not even, like, ready yet!!!!" protested Flash, more of the same pitifulness ensuing. He joined Otis in the kennels.
