Three in house cats remained: Sissy, Mac, and Harley. The bathroom and diabetic cats always got cut some slack around bedtime, and they liked it that way. The two younger in house cats weren't making a lot of noise up front, and the lack of clients meant it was peaceful for short catnaps on the furniture. As the clock hit 5:30PM, Harley and Mac were whisked away to have their blood glucose measured and receive their insulin shots.
"Good night Sissy, dear," flirted Harley.
"You have no shame," Mac sighed.
Mac and Harley were put away for the evening; Mac into his bathroom, and Harley into his deluxe-sized kennel. Sissy pranced over to her food dish for a bit of dinner.
"Only a short time more before the girl brings the loud noise maker up here," Sissy commented about the daily vacuuming that was performed to remove all the excess cat hair that accumulates in the rug during the day. About fifteen minutes later, the Veterinary Nurse Assistant rolled the vacuum cleaner through the hallway and into the lobby. She shut the doors to Sissy's room. Tomorrow would be another day of sleeping, eating, taking medications, and having fun at All Cats.
