Although this should be a comparison to my poetics, I choose to view my opinions on the rather unsavory spiritual values I found in Plastic Beauty. "Ugliness" can most certainly not be "cured" with any goods or services you can find. The only true "cure" to "ugliness" is a change in the attitudes of people. "Ugliness" isn't exclusive to outward appearance, and herein lies the reason as to why no cream, pill, or operation can remove such a characteristic. Also, the issues of truth are in a shameful and pitiful state. While embellishing the truth may serve to better one's self, it can sometimes harm others around one. The net harm versus the net benefit is in most cases not worthwhile. I would be bold enough to state that my poetics do not agree with the spiritual values of Plastic Beauty. I will also make the statement that the previous statement is of my own opinion. I could very well be wrong, and that is the truth.
